<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ignition device which can be miniaturized by a method wherein the contact position of a high-tension cord with a high-tension terminal and the contact position of a secondary terminal with the high-tension terminal are situated so as to be not coaxial with the high-tension terminal. CONSTITUTION:A high-tension terminal 31 is formed to be a bottomed cylindrical shape, a part at the lower part of an external wall surface 31a is exposed at the inside of a coil case 10, and the tip of a secondary terminal 22 is brought into contact with the exposed external wall surface 31a. A high-tension cord is inserted into a housing hole 40. The secondary terminal 22 together with a primary coil 13, a secondary coil 15 and the like is inserted into the coil case 10 so as to be directed to a direction perpendicular to the shaft of the high-tension terminal 31, and the tip of the secondary terminal 22 is pressed to the external wall surface 31a of the high-tension terminal 31. Thereby, the shaft length of the high-tension terminal can be shortened, and the shape of an ignition device can be miniaturized.</p> |
