The machine (10) for the manufacture of cigarette packets (51) has a number of feed components (20,30,40) each of which has several feed elements (21,31,41) which are brought into contact with the cigarette groups (17) and/or wrapping material (24,37,45) and interact with a feed element of an adjacent feed component. With a constant machine speed the production output of the machine is adjustable with regard to its feed components and/or feed elements to process various formats.
