摘要 PURPOSE: A waveguide-type wavelength filter using a surface plasmon band is provided to extract a desired wavelength by installing a metallic thin film and a lattice on a waveguide. CONSTITUTION: A waveguide-type wavelength filter using a surface plasmon band includes a waveguide and a metallic thin film. The metallic thin film(6) is installed on an upper surface of a core of the waveguide(4) in order to form a structure for exciting surface plasmon and blocking an optical transmission effect. A lattice(3) is installed on a cladding(2) in order to induce a surface plasmon band gap and prevent surface plasmon from being generated due to a particular wavelength. The cladding is used for exciting the surface plasmon.
