PURPOSE: A WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) including a device for transmitting a UMTS(Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) based unidirectional service to a UE(User Equipment) is provided to transmit a UMTS based service while a UE is attached to a wireless local area network. CONSTITUTION: A user equipment(24) registers at a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network)(20). The WLAN(20) registers a user ID of the user equipment(24) at a UTMS(Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) repeater(18), and the user ID is transmitted to the UTMS repeater(18). A UTMS(16) transmits a message to the UTMS repeater(18). The UTMS repeater(18) transmits the message to the WLAN(20) through a wireless channel. A WLAN form converter(22) receives the message for converting the UTMS type message into a WLAN type message. The WLAN form converter(22) transmits the WLAN type message to the WLAN(20). The message is transmitted to an appropriate access point to provide a UTMS service notice to a WLAN coverage area, and a broadcast message is transmitted to the registered user.
