PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus controller, a remote control system, an intermediate apparatus and a telephone directory data which prevent the impersonation by an outsider with malicious intentions. SOLUTION: A controller 10 comprises a command telephone directory 12 and a line terminal 14. The telephone directory 12 stores corresponding relations of a plurality of control commands 100 to a plurality of telephone numbers 101. The line terminal 14 receives a call from the telephone number 101. When the line terminal 15 receives a call, the controller 10 looks up the telephone directory 12 to collate the telephone number of the call to the terminal 14 with the telephone numbers 101.
