<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate allowed to be manufactured by a polarizing plate manufacturing process in a wet lamination method and having excellent durability even in a high-temperature/high-humidity environment and a liquid crystal display device having excellent durability under the high-temperature/high-humidity environment. <P>SOLUTION: In the polarizing plate formed by sticking protection films having different steam permeability values to both the sides of a polarizer consisting of a synthetic resin film, at least the protection film formed on one side is a film consisting of cycloolefin resin and having less than 20 g/m<SP>2</SP>×24hr steam permeability and the protection film formed on the other side is a film having 50 to 200 g/m<SP>2</SP>×24hr steam permeability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
