The inspection manhole component (5) of sheet metal is constructed a semi-finished product in the form of an elongated angle piece, one L-member (6) of which lies as a support in a first plane, and other L-member (7) as a cover in second plane at right angles to the first member. The second member (7) has spaced apart bend points (8) which extend at right angles to the bottom support.
