PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas compressor with improved power efficiency and reliability, by preventing direct contact of a rotor with a side block and reducing friction along with rotation of the rotor. SOLUTION: End faces 105a, 105b of a rotor 105 are inclined so that distance between neighboring vane grooves 12 of the end faces 105a, 105b in an axial direction is decreased toward its rotation direction side. Therefore, along with the rotation of the rotor 105, refrigeration oil supplied from a boundary 105e on an opposite side in the rotation direction to an end face 105b side forms an oil film near a boundary 105d on an rotation direction side between the end faces 105a, 105b.
