PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid pressure cylinder and a clamp device capable of certainly detecting that an output member reaches a predetermined position through pressure changes of air pressure in a clamp body, having excellent reliability and durability, and being downsized.SOLUTION: A fluid pressure cylinder includes: air passages 21 and 22 formed in a cylinder body 10 of a hydraulic cylinder 3, supplied pressurized air at one end portions, and communicating to the outside at the other end portions; and open/close valve mechanisms 30 and 50 capable of opening/closing the air passages. The open/close valve mechanism is equipped with a valve body installed so as to move forward/backward, and projecting out to a hydraulic chamber at a tip end portion; a valve seat on which the valve body can abut; a hydraulic pressure introducing chamber for holding the valve body in a state moving forward to an output member 4 side by the hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic chambers 14 and 15; and a hydraulic pressure introducing passage communicating with the hydraulic chamber and the hydraulic pressure introducing chamber. When the output member reaches a predetermined position, the valve body is moved by the output member to switch an opening/closing state of the open/close valve mechanism, thereby detecting that the output member reaches the predetermined position, through air pressure in the air passages. |
