PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump suitable for preceding stand-by operation and capable of facilitating operation, maintenance, and management. SOLUTION: This submergible motor pump is provided with a motor 151 arranged in the water, an impeller 120 rotated by the motor 151 to absorb water in a water tank, and a rotation speed controller 162 for changing rotation speed of the impeller 120 in accordance with a water level in the water tank. Since it is provided with the rotation speed controller, the rotation speed of the impeller can be changed in accordance with the water level in the water tank to stabilize pump operation in accordance with the water level.
