<p>A method for designing an optimal shape of a structure readily and accurately and a system for designing an optimal shape using that method. The system characterized by comprising an optimization control section (2a) for detecting correlation among CAD data M of a structure defined at a CAD section (2b), a mechanical response amount detected at a CAE structure analyzing section (2d), manufacturability information judged at a manufacturability judging section (2e), and manufacturing cost information detected at a cost calculating section (2f), altering the CAD data M of a structure based on the correlation until an optimal shape of the structure manufacturable at a lowest cost is detected with the mechanical response amount satisfying the design conditions of the structure, updating the correlation based on the altered CAD data M, and detecting an optimal shape of the structure based on the updated correlation.</p> |
