PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dot sequential driving system capable of ameliorating both of a ghost and a vertical streak defect. SOLUTION: Sampling switches 23 are divided to sampling switches of a first set allotted at intervals and sampling switches of a second set allotted by one piece shifting. While a video line 25 of a first system is connected to the sampling switches of the first set, a video line 26 of a second system is connected to the sampling switches of the second set. The strings of the sampling pulses successively outputted from a horizontal driving circuit 17 are alternately sorted to the sampling switches belonging to the first set and the sampling switches belonging to the second set to respectively constitute the first pulse string and the second pulse string. The sampling pulses adjacent to each other in the first pulse string are non-overlapped and the sampling pulses adjacent to each other in the second pulse string are also overlapped and on the other hand the pulse widths of the respective sampling pulses are assured to optimize the sampling of video signals.
