PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device moving along an object surface or a method capable of effectively sucking and recovering foreign matters present in a gap by forcibly feeding water to the part of the gap of a porous object surface to be kept and sucking and recovering the water at the gap by a suction nozzle connected to a vacuum cleaner thereafter. SOLUTION: As the minimum constitution, the device moving along the object surface whose material is a porous material is provided with a casing opened in the direction of the object surface, a sealing member mounted on the opened part, a means for keeping a distance between the opened part and the object surface at a fixed distance, a means for forcibly feeding liquid to a pressurizing area formed by the casing, the sealing member and the object surface in cooperation, and a means for moving the pressurizing area along the object surface.
