The halter for a horse has a headpiece (6) and two cheek pieces (2), a nose band (1) a chin strap (3), a throat strap (5) and a throat belt (4). The headpiece is connected to a cheek piece at each side and the throat belt has a common attachment ring (8). The cheek pieces are connected to the nose band at their other ends. One long side of the headpiece has a quick connector (9) closure.
