<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting apparatus for casting a large and thin cast product giving good dimensional precision, even without paying a special consideration to a temperature management between a sprue side and a side faced to the sprue side. <P>SOLUTION: The casting apparatus 1 for casting the large and thin cast product is constituted of a movable mold 3 vertically shifted and a fixed mold 4 and provided with a divided mold 2 arranging a runner extended in the longitudinal direction passed through from the sprue at one side. Cavities 15-17 for forming the product formed in the movable mold 3 and the fixed mold 4, are designed so that the designed size is different at the sprue side 15a and the facing side 15b faced to the sprue 20 and the metallic mold size to the product at the sprue side 15a is larger in comparison with the metallic mold to the product at the facing side 15b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
