PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control system capable of preventing movement of a shift range during the time when an actuator is not electrified. SOLUTION: In the case where a shift range switching command is not input (Y in S70), a P-ECU determines whether electrical continuity to the actuator is turned off or not (S72). In the case where electrical continuity to the actuator is turned off (Y in S72), the P-ECU obtains a present rotating position of the actuator on the basis of a count value obtained by an encoder (S74), and as a result, in the case where a difference between a target rotating position and the present rotating position exceeds the predetermined quantity (Y in S76), the P-ECU performs the position correction control.
