PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collation device good at authenticating data changing with time, a composition device and composition method of vector string, and an updating method of registered data. SOLUTION: DP matching of input data with vector strings of registered data is performed in a DP matching part 21, and composition of vector strings is performed in a vector composition part 22. When one vector of the registered data corresponds to a plurality of vectors of the input data, vector composition is performed by selecting one with the shortest vector-to-vector distance.
