PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip capable of local heating, which is used for chemical reactions and analyses requiring heating. SOLUTION: The chip is made up of a local heating member obtained by a method, in which a surface or an inner section of a transparent and electrically insulating resin is irradiated with pulse laser light; and carbon is partially precipitated in order to form an electrical resistance region. The local heating member has one or more recessed sections for disposing samples therein or channels for liquid samples at positions contiguous or close to the electrical resistance region.
