PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve of an internal combustion engine capable of adequately promoting the atomization of fuel. SOLUTION: A tapered jet hole port 7c having a diameter expanding downwards is formed on the downside of a jet hole 7c formed in the central part of a valve seat member 7 in which a ball 32 constituting a valve element is seated in a seating face 7a. The jet hole 7c and the nozzle hole 8a of a nozzle plate 8 combined with the lower surface of the valve member 7, which is formed on the outer diameter side of the jet hole 7c, are connected by a fuel passage having a gradually increasing cross-section diameter.
