PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heater for hot rolling equipment in which the number of spare members or the number of apparatus of spares of an inductor or the like and the cost are remarkably reduced. SOLUTION: This induction heater is provided with a truck 12, an inductor holding frame 20, upper and lower inductors 40, 45 and elevating and lowering devices 50, 60 for upper and lower inductors. The inductor holding frame 20 is constituted of a first strut and a second strut 31 which are upward extended from the upper surface of the chassis of the truck 12, a first top frame 22 which is attached attachably and detachably to the upper end of the first strut and a second top frame 32 which is attached to the upper end of the second strut 31, the upper and lower inductors 40, 45 are respectively hung down from the first top frame 22 and the second top frame 32 ascendably and descendably and the elevating and lowering devices 50, 60 for upper and lower inductors are respectively attached to the first top frame 22 and the second top frame 32.
