The device comprises a horizontal plate (2) able to be placed under a part of the furniture (1), a lever arm (3) able, by tipping, to raise the plate and thus the furniture. A wheel (4) integral with the lever arm is able to move the furniture after its raising. The lever arm comprises a long part (3A) for handling, a bottom curved part (3B) serving as a support for the wheel and a pivoting point for the lever arm and a short part (3C) which supports the plate.
