<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely supply oil mist from a non-rotary supply pipe 20 to a chuck mechanism 10 without leakage to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The spindle 3 is provided with an insert hole penetrating through the shaft center to be connected to the chuck mechanism 10, a draw bar 9 is passed through the insert hole, the tip part of the draw bar 9 is faced to the chucking mechanism 10, and the non-rotary supply pipe is extended along the shaft center of the draw bar 9 from the based end to the tip part. A seal pad 30a as a non-contact mechanical seal 30 is supported on the tip part through a bellows spring 60, and the sealing surface 30c of the seal pad 30a is confronted with the upper end face 21b of a connecting pipe 21 at the upper end of the chuck mechanism 10 through a very small gap. The oil mist supplied from the outside of the base end of the spindle 3 is supplied from a supply pipe 20 to a tool through a flow passage 21a in the chuck mechanism 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
