<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for elevating a temperature in a fuel cell comprising an air electrode, an electrolyte and a fuel electrode rapidly to a minimum operating temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The method for elevating a temperature in the fuel cell (401) incorporating the air electrode (101), the electrolyte (102) and the fuel electrode (103) includes a step of conducting an exothermic reaction at the air electrode (101) and the fuel electrode (103) to elevate the temperature in the fuel cell (401) before the electrolyte (102) reaches a temperature at which oxygen ions (111) cross the electrolyte (102). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
