<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice ball-packaging film capable of easily cutting an outside material of a film containing laver for covering the rice ball and setting position for housing the laver at a prescribed position in inserting the laver between the films. <P>SOLUTION: This film for covering 1 is constituted by adding/installing a seal-opening tape 4 capable of cutting the film of the surface side in a state of packaging the rice ball in the vertical direction from the central part in left and right direction, installing a displaying part or guide 5 for cutting at a film cut-starting position at the upper part of the seal-opening tape 4, forming an opening part 6 for inserting the laver into the film at one side edge in its longitudinal direction and installing stoppers 9a, 9b for setting a position of a tip end part of the laver 8 inserted from the opening part 6 by putting a prescribed interval at the other side edge opposing to the opening part 6 and upper or lower any of the side edges.
