<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for preventing the oxidation of a material, and to provide an improved AC voltage application apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This AC voltage application apparatus comprises a treating tank 2 whose wall portions are formed from conductive members and which is used for receiving the treating target material 6, an electrode 3 which is disposed in the treating tank 2 and is used for applying an AC voltage to the treating target material 6, and an AC electric source 7 whose output terminals are connected to the treating tank 2 and the electrode 3, respectively. The method for preventing the oxidation of the material comprises applying an AC voltage of 10 V to 5 kV to the treating target material 6 so that an alternating current of 1μA to 1,000 mA flows. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
