<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the miniaturization of a device and the reduction of a manufacturing cost without the reduction of visibility due to the reduction of an effective display area for an image. SOLUTION: An n-channel TFT 26 connected to a transparent pixel electrode 24 and p-channel TFT 27 connected to the cathode side of a photodiode 25 are connected to common source line 22 and gate line 23, and by impressing a positive or negative voltage on the gate line 23, the TFTs 26 and 27 are separately and independently controlled to be turned on. Thus, it is unnecessary to install a source line and a gate line used only for the 2nd transistor connected to one end of a photodetecting element, and the 2nd transistor is solely turned on by the source line and the gate line which are common to the 1st transistor connected to each pixel electrode, then, the original image detected by the photodetecting element can be read.</p> |
