PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device with reduced number of parts, having an automatic restoration function suitable for reducing the size. SOLUTION: The switching device comprises an operation piece 2 rocking movement capably mounted on a case 1, a slide member 6 capable of elevating movement while locking into the operation piece 2, a contact point mechanism of which a contact point is changed into the state of being turned on and turned off corresponding to the direction of the rocking operation of the operation piece 2, a coil spring 9 urging the slide member 6 in a restoring direction, a latch plate 8 latching the slide member 6 to a descending position, and an expanding member 11 made of a shape-memory alloy deforming into a shrunk state by the conduction of electricity. By pulling the latch plate 8 so as to become distant from the slide member 6 by utilizing the contracting force of the slide member 6 while power is supplied, the state of latching movement of the slide member 6 is released, and the operation piece 2 is automatically reset into a state of being turned off.
