<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave generating apparatus and method in which a microwave of a high output can be generated and stable ranges of frequencies and phases are wide, and which can be miniaturized and reduced in weight and can enlarge an output/mass ratio. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a magnetron 11, a high-voltage DC stabilized power source 12, a directional coupler 18 for branching a portion 1a of a microwave 1, an attenuator 19 for attenuating the branched microwaves, and a phase-locked loop circuit 10 including a reference signal transmitter 13, a phase comparator 14 and an anode current control computing element 20. Frequencies and phases of the branched microwave 1a and a reference signal 3 generated by the reference signal transmitter are compared, and an anode current control signal 5 for reducing deviation from the reference signal is inputted to the high-voltage DC stabilized power source 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
