<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a solar cell frame rack optimally when a solar cell module array is constructed. <P>SOLUTION: The method for installing a solar cell frame rack such that a plurality of solar cell modules are arranged on an installation plane with a specified angleθcomprises a step for calculating the total cost TC(L) of a solar cell array=äF_1+F_2(L)+F_3(L)}/äPm(1-P_loss(L))} from the installation cost F_1, the engineering work cost F_2(L), the land cost F_3(L), the annual power generation loss factor P_loss(L) of the solar cell array, and the output Pm of a photovoltaic power generation system and determining Lmin for minimizing the total cost Lmin, and a step for installing the frame rack such that the distance between the upper end of an adjacent frame and the lower end of the solar cell module becomes Lmin. The cost can be reduced as compared with the conventional total cost of the photovoltaic power generation system calculated by the longitudinal interval of the frame calculated from the day of the winter solstice.
