<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member capable of being smoothly slid without breaking down an oil film between sliding faces even in sliding under a condition that high load is applied to the sliding face from a mating member. <P>SOLUTION: This sliding member has a plurality of holes 6 on the sliding face, and one or more of the holes 6 are provided with an expanded part 9 having an area larger than an area of its opening end 7, on at least a part of a lower part with respect to the opening end 7 in the depth direction of the hole 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
