<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize image quality by suppressing variation in gloss even in case of a different kind of recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: Curing ink containing a solvent, a polymerisable compound, a polymerization initiator and a color material is ejected by means of an ink jet recording head onto a recording medium thus forming an image. The curing ink on the recording medium is then cured by imparting active energy and the recording medium is hot pressed thus fixing the curing ink. In such an image recording method, conditions of hot press processing are selected depending on the kind of a recording medium being used among a plurality of conditions stored for respective kinds of the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
