<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost by simplifying the constitutions of a jam detecting means and an overflow detecting means in a paper ejection part. <P>SOLUTION: The paper ejection part 15 is provided at the upper part of the housing 10 of an image forming apparatus 1. Paper P where an image is fixed is ejected to the paper ejection part 15 through a paper ejection path 14 and is stacked. In the exit of the paper ejection path 14, an actuator for jam detection 20 displaced by the paper P staying at the exit and an actuator for overflow detection 30 displaced by the paper P stacked at the paper ejection part 15 are arranged. A jam corresponding interference plate 23 linking with the actuator for the jam detection 20 and an overflow corresponding interference plate 33 displaced by linking with the actuator for the overflow detection 30 appear and disappear in the optical path of a common photosensor 40. A normal state, a jammed state and an overflowed state are recognized by the overlapping state of the interference plates 23 and 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
