<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculation method of distinct element method capable of remarkably shortening the calculation time. <P>SOLUTION: This calculation method of distinct element method handles an object of analysis in a fluid as a group of a plurality of small elements repeating separation and contact. In this method, a drag coefficient showing the resistance between the small elements, an inertia force coefficient showing the inertia force of the small element in the fluid, a friction coefficient showing the friction resistance of the small element with the outside, and a flow velocity vector of the fluid are extracted as set variables, a probability distribution is given to the set variables to Taylor-develop the displacement vector of the small element, and the set variable and the Taylor-developed displacement vector are substituted to an equation of motion followed by perturbative development to calculate the expectation value and standard deviation of the deformation quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
