<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable IP packet transfer with low packet loss when performing media communication to which a real time characteristic is required between terminals contained in an IP network that is established by using existing routers. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a media communication method for sending and receiving session control signals for the media communication between first and second terminals in the IP network in which a plurality of the terminals are connected. The media communication method includes a step for transmitting session control signals via a Firewall 1, an NAT, and an application level gateway (ALG), from the first terminal to a session control server of the IP network for the media communication. By which high-speed IP packet transfer is possible as compared with the IP network, and a step for transmitting the session control signals, via the Firewall 1, the NAT, and the ALG, from the session control server to the second terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
