METHOD FOR PRODUCING INTERMOLECULAR COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an intermolecular compound for providing light control materials excellent in optical/electric characteristics in producing the intermolecular compound of an alkali earth metal periodide with a heterocyclic compound. SOLUTION: The method for producing the intermolecular compound of the alkali earth metal periodide is to bond iodine (i) and the alkali earth metal iodide (ii) with the heterocyclic compound (iii) in a solvent by irradiating ultrasonic waves or irradiating the ultrasonic waves after the bonding.
