PURPOSE: A hermetic compressor is provided to prevent a hermetic container from being resonant with specific radio frequency and low frequency sound emitted from the inside of a hermetic compressor, thereby reducing a noise. CONSTITUTION: A hermetic container contains a driving part generating power, and a compressing part receiving the power from the driving part for compressing a refrigerant, wherein the hermetic container is formed by combining an upper container(11) with a lower container. A damping member(40) elastically supports the hermetic container with predetermined elastic force for changing resonance frequency of the hermetic container. The damping member made of a metal material includes a fixed part(41) fixed at the upper container, and elastic support parts(42) elastically supporting the upper container.
