PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet type recording device which can realize marginless printing while an ink adhesion to a face on the opposite side to a printing face of a medium to be recorded is prevented. SOLUTION: The inkjet type recording device has a marginless mode in which the medium to be recorded is transferred to between an inkjet type recording head with nozzle openings for discharging ink droplets, and a platen which is set at a position opposite to the nozzle openings of the recording head and regulates a distance between the medium and the nozzle openings, and at the same time, ink droplets are discharged from the recording head to a region wider than the medium, whereby marginless printing is carried out all over the printing face of the medium. A moistening unit 30 is set in the inkjet type recording device, which includes a water retaining part 32 for holding water with a lid part 31 set to be freely openable at a printing region, and a switching means 33 for controlling the lid part 31 to be an open state by a predetermined timing at the time of printing at least by the marginless mode.
