摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of relieving processing burden, and realizing a high speed access operation, and to provide its control method. SOLUTION: The optical disk device, in which access is controlled for an optical disk having first address information given for every first recording region of the prescribed recording density using second address information given for every second recording region in which the first recording region is sectioned logically, thereby increasing a recording density for the first recording region and recording data, comprises: a second address information deciding means deciding second address information given to the second recording region for the second recording region being a first irradiation position of a laser beam irradiating; and a second address information generating means generating second address information given to the second recording region accessed from the first irradiation position to a second irradiation position based on the second address information while the irradiation position of the laser beam is moved from the first irradiation position to the second recording region being the prescribed second irradiation position.
