PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a tungsten complex easily without performing a troublesome operation such as a filtration for removing insoluble material, etc., in its production process. SOLUTION: This method for producing the tungsten complex is provided by performing the reaction of tungsten oxide obtained by performing the reaction of at least 1 kind selected from a group consisting of a tungsten compound consisting of tungsten with a IIIb group element, a tungsten compound consisting of tungsten with a IVb group element, a tungsten compound consisting of tungsten with a Vb group element, a tungsten compound consisting of tungsten with a VIb group element excluding oxygen, and tungsten metal with hydrogen peroxide, with an organic compound capable of coordinating with tungsten.
