Oscillating single bladed knives and method of cutting with such knives

The cutting device has at least one swivel fitted blade (9) guided by a blade holder. The swivel connection defines a rotational axis which is either parallel or at an acute angle to a perpendicular to the plane which is spanned by the radial and axial (r, z) co-ordinates of the roller. At least one blade is attached to a cutter bar (8) to carry out translation movement in the radial and/or axial direction of the roller. Independent claim describes method for cutting material webs where cutting movement executed by cutting faces of the at least one blade has rotational components.
