PURPOSE: An input signal apparatus and method of a mobile terminal are provided to control velocity of an application program by detecting velocity of a straight-line motion of an internal antenna of a mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: An antenna(10) mounted outside a mobile terminal makes a rectilinear reciprocating motion. An antenna motion detector(20) detects the rectilinear reciprocating motion of the antenna(10) and outputs corresponding binary data. An adder(30) adds the binary data for a predetermined time and outputs it. A central processing unit(40) divides the output value of the adder(30) by the predetermined time and processes the speed of an application program at the speed of the motion of the antenna(10).
