PURPOSE: A flywheel assembly is provided to support the flywheel on the crankshaft by attaching and detaching the flywheel to and from the supporting member simply, and to transmit torque to the flywheel by mounting the flywheel to the torque transmitting member. CONSTITUTION: A first flywheel assembly(4) is fixed to the end of a crankshaft(2), and composed of a disk member(13), an annular member(14) and a supporting plate(39) to obtain the large moment of inertia to the crankshaft. A flywheel damper(11) transmits torque from the crankshaft of the engine, and comprises a second flywheel assembly(5), a damper unit(6) and the supporting plate. The damper unit connects the second flywheel assembly to the crankshaft elastically. The supporting plate is mounted to the crankshaft, and the second flywheel assembly is supported on the crankshaft. An axial extension part is formed in the supporting plate and detachably mounted to the second flywheel.
