PURPOSE: A defect management method for reproducing a write-once disk, a disk drive therefor and a disk therefor is provided to verify a certain area including a defect-generated part, and to replace generated defects or to display the defects only, to update TDMS(Temporary Defect Management Structure) information one time. CONSTITUTION: By a read command of a host(401), a drive reads data(402). If a defect cluster is generated(403), an ECC(Error Correcting Code) is confirmed with regards to the defect cluster(404). The generated defect is replaced with a spare area(405). The replaced information is reflected on a TDFL to update TDMS information(406).
