PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for fabricating an alignment film of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel are provided to prevent generation of static electricity caused by a rubbing process. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for fabricating an alignment film of an LCD panel includes the first and second substrates(32), a dispenser(40) for providing an alignment material, the first and second rollers(38,34), an alignment mask(36), and an alignment film. The alignment material provided by the dispenser is coated on the first roller. The second roller is rotated in close proximity to the first roller. The alignment mask is attached to the second roller and has a groove. The alignment film is formed on each of the first and second substrates. The groove is tilted in a predetermined direction corresponding to a liquid crystal alignment direction. The alignment material is polyimide.
