GAP FILLER DISCRIMINATING METHOD IN SATELLITE DAB SYSTEM - THE METHOD IS REALIZED BY INSERTING CELL INFORMATION INTO ID INFORMATION OF A PILOT CHANNEL TRANSMITTED TO A MOBILE STATION

PURPOSE: A gap filler discriminating method in a satellite DAB system is provided to easily recognize a signal-transmitted gap filler by inserting cell information by using a symbol of a pilot channel, and then transmitting it to a mobile station. CONSTITUTION: Gap fillers of each group are assigned a cell ID respectively. The cell ID is inserted into data of a pilot channel to be transmitted to a mobile station and included in cell information. The mobile station can search a signal-transmitted gap filler by using the cell information inserted in the pilot channel. The cell information includes a cell ID consisting of K bits, a CRC bit and a power indicator of L bits. The mobile station determines the strength of a signal transmitted from the gap filler by using the power indicator of the cell information and searches the gap filler by using the cell ID information.
