PURPOSE: An in-search wire head for removing scale in a pipe is provided to easily insert a flexible wire into the pipe and reduce working time by forming an inclined surface and a cut surface contacting with a protrusion between pipes. CONSTITUTION: In a scale removing device including a flexible wire(5) rotated by a motor and a bar-shaped wire head(11) fixed to the end of the flexible wire and rotated simultaneously with the flexible wire, a wire insertion hole(12) is formed at the center of the wire head, and fixes the inserted flexible wire. An inclined surface(11a) is formed at the front of the wire head, and has an inclination of 20 to 70 degrees so that the wire head easily climbs over a protrusion between an elbow pipe and a straight pipe. A cut surface(11b) is formed at the front of the wire head, and is extended from the inclined surface. When the wire head reaches the protrusion between the elbow pipe and the straight pipe, the wire head climbs over the protrusion and is easily inserted into the straight pipe by the contact of the inclined surface and the protrusion.
