PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the S/N ratio (the signal/noise ratio) by adjusting the reaction temperature of antigen-antibody reaction and/or pH of a cleaning liquid. SOLUTION: This method detects a ligand or a receptor in a specimen, and includes (1) a process of contacting one or more kinds of receptors or ligands fixed on a support with the specimen including an antigen-labeled ligand or receptor, and (2) a process of contacting the antigen-labeled ligand or receptor bound to one ore more kinds of receptors or ligands fixed on the support with an antibody to an antigen; and is characterized in that the reaction temperature of the process (2) is 34°C to 40°C.
