PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motorcycle which permits an exhaust control valve to be disposed under a more satisfactory environment. SOLUTION: In this motorcycle, the axle of a rear wheel is rotatably supported on the rear end of a swing arm which permits the front end to be oscillatably supported on a vehicle frame, a rear end exhaust portion of an exhaust system connected to a cylinder head owned by an engine body which is ahead of the rear wheel and is installed on the vehicle body frame is disposed at a higher position than the axle, and the exhaust control valve for adjusting a flow passing area in an exhaust pipe constituting part of the exhaust is disposed on the exhaust pipe.
