PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage can capable of purifying harmful bacteria and suspended particles generated from garbage. SOLUTION: This garbage can 100 has a photocatalytic purification device 1, a main body 2, a cover 3 and a loading part 10. The photocatalytic purification device 1 is formed of an air lead-in fan 20, an air discharge fan 30, a light source 40, a photocatalyst part 50 and a power source supply device 60. The photocatalytic purification device 1 is mounted on the loading part 10, and arranged inside the cover 3. The loading part 10 is formed with an air intake opening and an air discharge opening, and the air inside the min body 2 is led into the cover 3 through the air intake opening.
