PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take a face image with the same brightness and at the same distance at any time even in the case a photographing date is varied like before and after the operation. SOLUTION: A distance from an imaging camera (2) to the face as an object can be kept constant while holding the face as the object on the focal point of the imaging camera (2) by a face holder 4, and light emitted from an illumination light source (20) is transmitted through a semi-cylindrical concave light diffusion plate (5) arranged nearly concentric to the face held by the face holder (4) and a conical light diffusion plate (7) whose cross section gradually extends from the imaging camera (2) toward the face imaging opening part (6) formed in the concave light diffusion plate (5), and then, the light is uniformly diffused on the front side, then, the front side of the face and the cheeks which are likely to be shaded can be illuminated with the uniform brightness.
